Tanya Sanders, RN

Tanya is a Registered Nurse with 16 years of experience in both acute and community health nursing. She has primarily worked in public health in a variety of roles including leadership positions in Northern and Interior Health Authorities. She has also had the opportunity to work with the First Nations and Inuit Health Branch of Health Canada in a practice support and consultation role for community health nurses in BC.

Tanya is a graduate of the BSN program of the then University College of the Cariboo (TRU today), and completed her Masters of Nursing through UBC. She has recently returned to Thompson Rivers University to teach in the school of nursing.

Tanya served as the Regional Director, Interior for the Association of Registered Nurses of BC from 2014-2016.
