The Five Principles of the B.C. Nursing Wiki:

  1. The BC Nursing Wiki is an encyclopedia of B.C. nursing. It is not a soapbox, an advertising platform, a vanity press, or a way to air grievances against a specific person or organization.
  2. The BC Nursing Wiki is written from a neutral point of view. We strive for articles and entries that explain the major points of view and those that are factual. Editors should strive for accuracy and cite reliable and authoritative sources. Personal opinions, experiences and interpretations do not belong.
  3. BC Wiki content is free for use. All editors freely license their work to the public and no editor owns an entry. Respect copyright laws and link to the original sources as often as possible.
  4. Editors of the BC Nursing Wiki are expected to behave with respect and civility towards other editors. Nursing is a self-regulated profession. Apply those principles to the use of the BC Nursing Wiki.
  5. There are no firm rules about what can or can not be contained in the BC Nursing Wiki. The information contained here is meant for use by B.C. nurses for informational and educational purposes and all editors are expected to maintain this standard. The interpretation of appropriate content can evolve over time. No one expects that each entry will be perfect, but we do expect that pages are created and edited in good faith and with the benefit of the profession in mind.
